For EFT deposits: Bank: First National Bank Branch: Braamfontein Branch code: 251905 Account name: The Salvation Army Red Shield A/C Account number: 50540087604 Reference: Covid-19 PR Secretary of The Salvation Army in Southern Africa, Major Carin Holmes, says: “Homeless people are a particular concern of our Church during this time of Covid-19 and the lock down, and we are pleased to partner with the DSD in this initiative. All South Africans need to play their part in helping pull the country through this crisis.” In this regard, The Salvation Army has assembled a Disaster Team that is providing assistance in the Pretoria area – Marabastad, Prince’s Park, Joubert Street, Caladonian – feeding the homeless. The recipients, approximately 900 in total, receive two meals a day (breakfast and supper). https://www.salvationarmy.org.za/covid-19-response-a-salvation-army-with-its-sleeves-rolled-up/
