Disaster Relief for Families affected by KZN & Gauteng Riots

Children & Youth
The mass destruction of businesses, homes and city infrastructure caused by violent riots in the South African provinces of KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng has left thousands of young children in vulnerable communities without access to essential items – especially food. We are providing emergency aid to young children and their families in these areas in partnership with various disaster relief organisations, food, and logistics partners as well as volunteers. The DO MORE FOUNDATION has a team of staff, volunteers, and various disaster relief partners working together to coordinate the distribution of essential resources in an efficient and equitable manner. The Foundation also has access to DoMore porridge and other essential food items (provided at cost by RCL FOODS) and has partners with pro-bono logistics/transport partners to reach young children in affected communities. Currently, we are focusing our efforts on meeting the immediate needs of young children and families affected in these provinces whilst they do not have access to essential resources. In the long term, this project will be supporting Early Childhood Development programmes whilst they build back to provide daily essential services to young children in these vulnerable communities (including daily meals, stimulation, and protection). If you are in a position to do so, please consider making a contribution towards the supply of essential items to young children in areas affected by the current riots in KZN and Gauteng (every rand provides a meal) With Love, The Do More Team
