Description
We focus on two primary goals: empowering local unemployed youth (18-35) through skills development, and strengthening the local church to become healthy places of ongoing transformative hope. We do this through three impact areas: Life Development, Economic Development, and Spiritual Formation. 1. Life Development forms our core curriculum, with all youth first going through this 9-week programme that includes life skills, computer training, faith discovery, and literacy/work readiness. This transformative programme is the foundation of all our training. 2. Economic Development is made up of two different programme options that continue after Life Development: Trade Skills Training, or Hair & Beauty Training. These two programmes provide basic, entry-level training to young people who may go on to start their own local businesses or pursue additional training to further build their skills. 3. Spiritual Formation is woven throughout our work - from Faith Discovery in our Life Development programme to our church equipping programmes. Indyebo Theological Training is a two-year theological programme designed for local pastors and church leaders (ages 18+) to equip them for the work of ministry, and it runs alongside events like monthly Leaders Gatherings and our monthly Young Leaders Network - all designed to disciple, develop, equip, and network together local churches & leaders. “We exist to bring transformative hope to our communities for the glory of God.” That is why we do what we do. We are passionate about seeing young people become alive to their potential, and we believe they are the bright future of South Africa!
